SORTED
LEADERSHIP TEAM

IT IS OUR CHALLENGE TO BE SOMETHING MORE THAN GREAT

Sorted employ leaders, not managers. We lead our team to success and are not afraid to be hands on. We know that leadership and learning are integral to one another and don’t only provide staff on the floor with learning opportunities, but have a leadership team with the desire to grow and be their best. Our leaders are here to inspire staff, be a gateway to our best interaction with customers, and grow the confidence in everyone by making them see what they can achieve. For us, leadership is action, not a position.

REWI TE WHATU - DIRECTOR

“I want us to be respected as a great supply chain partner, not only a 3PL business, and enjoy seeing our people being part of this journey.”

With a Bachelor in Technology and Communication in his pocket, Rewi entered the Transport and Logistics industry as a Business Analyst and worked in a variety of roles including National Business Development Manager, Branch Manager, Strategy Manager and National Distribution Manager at Toll, TransOtway, PBT and Number One Shoes.

After 16 years of experience in the industry, he didn’t think twice about the opportunity to become Kris Webster's business partner in 2014.

Rewi has become the strategic and analytic influence in the business, while keeping a focus on supporting the team to be the best they can be.

He oversees all technological solutions, operations and people, safety and compliance functions for Sorted.

Rewi manages a busy work lift balance with his son Eli, his partner and love for the gym.

KRIS WEBSTER - DIRECTOR

“Our focus is the development of our people so we can deliver exceptional results both personally and professionally. We are passionate about our business and seek out constant improvement and success."

Kris has been spreading his energy and humour in the transport, courier and logistics industry for more than 20 years.

Starting as a Courier Owner Driver for Post Haste, Kris has excelled in many roles from Sales Consultant, Cadet, Branch Manager, Regional Manager and National Operations Manager through to Courier General Manager for PBT. During these years Kris grew his experience and had ambitions and the enthusiasm to start his own company in 2010, out of which Sorted Logistics resulted in 2011.

Today Kris oversees Marketing, Sales, Finance and the Office Administration functions at Sorted whilst managing a busy household with 3 daughters and his wife, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

MARTIN WHEELER - NATIONAL SALES MANAGER

“After watching Kris and Rewi succeed with Sorted, it was a no brainer for me to represent a business commercially that was shaking up the market”.

Prior to joining Sorted Logistics as a shareholder in 2015, Marty acquired over 21 years of transport, logistics and management experience through roles such as Sales Manager, Branch Manager, General Manager and Executive Team Member at Mainfreight, Toll, Pace Couriers and Contract Logistics.

After years of experience in people development and implementing supply chain solutions for customers like MyFoodBag and Repco, Marty saw working with Kris and Rewi in a dynamic company as an opportunity he couldn’t miss.

Today he takes care of maintaining customer relationships and building contractual agreements along with a focus on new business for Sorted, whilst spending his down time with his wife Kirsty and his kids Jamie and Cameron.

JOHN DAVIS - AIR AND OCEAN MANAGER

“I was inspired by Sorted's approach of viewing clients as partners rather than plain numbers on a sheet of paper, and enjoy our dynamic way of working.”

John Davis is the eyes and ears of Sorted's Air and Ocean department with more than 19 years of international freight and brokerage experience.

Having completed a Commerce Degree, he left New Zealand for 3 years which sparked his interest in the International Freight sector. Upon his return, he started his career with a role as Export Operator for a multinational organisation and gained valuable experience moving through various roles such as Operations Manager, Branch Manager and New Zealand Country Manager.

Today John manages Sorted's International department, overseeing international and coastal movements and working closely with our warehouse and transport teams.

In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors when not spending time with his wife and 2 daughters.

JAMIE MATANGI - GENERAL MANAGER, NATIONAL OPERATIONS

“I was looking for a fresh, growing, and innovative company to work for with great people and an awesome culture. After being in the industry for around 18 years, Sorted presented some very clear points of difference - drawn by Sorted's strong identity and the company's efforts to put people first, as well as develop unique and close partnerships with customers."

Jamie entered into the logistics industry almost 20 years ago. Starting his time as a business analyst for Toll Tranzlink, he has developed his career through a variety of roles and companies from Operations Contract Manager, Auckland Region Transport Manager, National Transport Finance Manager, National Systems Manager, General Manager and Chief Information Officer.

Inspired by both Kris and Rewi's journey with Sorted Logistics, Jamie joined the team in June 2021 as Operations General Manager. Genuinely excited about the growth of Sorted and playing a lead role in the expansion of the Auckland business, you won't find him standing still.

Jamie is driven by his passion for seeing his team achieve and being part of a great company that is awesome at what it does for its customers.
